We have created a new segment called Physician Spotlight. Monthly, we would like to introduce you to an Ocean County Provider that is serving in your community.
For our next installment of a Provider in Your Community segment, we would like to introduce you to Dr. Robert Sabo from Coastal Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr. Sabo is originally from Lakewood, NJ. He graduated Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1986 and Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in 1990. Dr. Sabo completed his Surgical Residency in 1991 at Albert Einstein Medical Center and his Neurosurgical Residency in 1996 at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Dr. Sabo is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and has been awarded Fellowship in the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Sabo practiced Neurosurgery in West Virginia before coming back to his home State of New Jersey, where he joined Coastal Physicians & Surgeons in 1997. He has been seeing patients and operating at Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin for 14 years.
Dr. Sabo specializes in micro-surgical and minimally invasive techniques for spinal disorders including cervical artificial disc procedures. Dr. Sabo also specializes in spinal instrumentation for complex spinal reconstruction of both traumatic and degenerative disc conditions, and implantation of spinal cord stimulators and peripheral nerve stimulators.
Dr. Sabo has offices in Manahawkin, Somers Point and Vineland.

Our orthopedic surgeon performs total hip and knee replacements and arthroscopy of the shoulder, knee and ankle. We also treat carpal tunnel syndrome, wrist ganglions and trigger fingers.
Our podiatric specialist provides medical diagnosis, surgical and non-surgical treatment of foot and ankle problems, such as bunions, heel pain, spurs, hammertoes, neuromas, ingrown toenails, warts, corns and calluses as well as the care of sprains, fractures, infections, and injuries of the foot, ankle and heel.
The physicians at Advocare Stafford Orthopedics are affiliated primarily with Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin, NJ. We have the only orthopedist who practices exclusively in Southern Ocean County. We also have surgical privileges at Virtua Memorial Hospital and Memorial Ambulatory Surgical Center in Mt. Holly, NJ. For our next installment of a Provider in your Community, allow us to introduce to you Dr. John A. Pino of Water Street Physicians, located in Toms River. Water Street Physicians practice Family and Internal Medicine, serving the Ocean County area for over 40 years. They are committed to providing their patients with the best health care available with the mission to offer from all members of their team, comprehensive and preventative care along with education to properly manage your health.
Dr. Pino obtained his BA from Rutgers in 1969 and his DO from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1973 and concluded with completing his internship at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital from 1973-1974. Dr. Pino has been practicing family medicine from 1974 to present day and is also an attending Physician, Department of Family Medicine at Community Medical Center since 1975. Dr. Pino is currently a member of the American Osteopathic Association, Pennsylvania Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Family Practice and the American Geriatric Society.

Please let us introduce to you Dr. Todd Schmoll, a Southern Ocean Primary Care Physician.
Dr. Schmoll is originally from Southern New Jersey. He graduated from Bucknell University in 1988 and graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1992. Dr. Schmoll completed his residency in family medicine through UMDNJ in 1995.
Dr. Schmoll has practiced at Ocean Medical in North Beach Haven since 1995 and is the Medical Director of Hackensack-Meridian Hospice South. He has been involved in end of life care for over 17 years and currently is the school physician for several local schools.
Dr. Schmoll describes his practice style as collaborative, where patient and physician share in the decision-making process and promotes patient autonomy.
